How long will DEOKLEAR protect me against malodor?

When applied correctly on clean skin, the alum deodorant can be very effective against malodor up to 24 hours. Anecdotal evidence suggests when alum is applied regularly, its effects can linger for a few days, even if alum isn't applied.

Our DEOKLEAR deodorants are effective in preventing malodor as well as reducing perspiration. Due to its astringent properties, the alum active ingredient constricts, but not completely block the pores, unlike the conventional deodorant. In case of excess perspiration, we suggest the DEOKLEAR Cooling Menthal Deodorant Powder.

Will DEOKLEAR leave stains on my shirt?

All our DEOKLEAR deodorants do not leave yellow stains on your shirt. It is formulated without aluminum chlorohydrate, alcohol, or parabens.

Will DEOKLEAR clog my pores or cause "chicken skin"?"

No, our DEOKLEAR deodorants will not clog your pores or make you get "chicken skin". The so-called "chicken skin", or bumpy nodes on the underarm resembling a chicken's skin, has multiple causes, ranging from the physical trauma caused from plucking/shaving, as well as the prolonged use of chemical antiperspirants that block pores. DEOKLEAR contains no harmful chemicals and do not block the pores. Therefore, it will not cause "chicken skin".

I have darkened underarms, will this help lighten it?"

Yes, once you stop using chemical antiperspirants/deodorants, your skin will naturally get lighter.

Yes, all our products have been tested to be non-irritating on the skin. For those with sensitive skin, it is suggested to use DEOKLEAR Classic Pure variant, which contains no fragrance.

I applied the DEOKLEAR stick, but it doesn't feel like I have anything on. Is this normal?"

Yes, our DEOKLEAR sticks are made from purified alum and therefore will not feel sticky like other chemical antiperspirants/deodorants. Make sure to run the stick under water and apply onto dry and clean skin; you will feel fresh and comfortable all day.
